The Brief
Grandiflora wanted a multi-sensory experience to launch two fragrances, and to create an experience that felt like stepping into an enchanted garden, where scent and sound could land at the same time.
We Imagined It
We took over a historic gallery space in Woollahra and treated it as a world to be transformed. The room became an enchanted garden, and guests seated among oversized botanical installations, surrounded by fragrance, music and candlelight. At the heart of the idea was a live performance by the Sydney Art Quartet: custom songs composed to mirror the notes of the fragrances, so each piece felt like a translation of scent into sound. The reveal of the two scents was designed as theatre. One fragrance arrived quietly and personally – sprayed onto a ribbon tied to a rose placed at each guest’s seat. The second was unveiled under a small cloche at each setting, a moment of discovery that made the guests lean in.
We Designed It
An elegant night with warmth built in – candlelit tables, garden-scale botanicals and a restrained, romantic atmosphere that let the fragrance and music do the talking.
We Made It Happen
We brought Saskia Havekes and James Beck’s vision to life, transforming the gallery into the enchanted garden environment and delivering the experience as a seamless live reveal – scent, space and performance aligned.
What the Room Felt Like
Magical, sensory and warm – a concert you could feel, where the fragrances didn’t just launch, they arrived as a shared moment in the room.
